Stride Tutoring: Now Approved In Louisiana
Did You Know?
In recent years, Louisiana has seen notable improvements in early reading proficiency because of expanded tutoring. The Accelerate High Dosage Tutoring Initiative is a result of Senate Bill 508 (Act 771) of the 2024 Louisiana Legislative Session. This bill requires school day embedded tutoring for certain Kindergarten through 5th-grade students.
Tutoring providers for this initiative must meet several criteria, of which is the requirement to provide high quality tutors. We, at Stride Tutoring, pride ourselves on requiring all teachers to be 100% state-certified teachers.
As a qualified, approved vendor for the Louisiana Department of Education during the 2024-25 school year, Stride Tutoring remains ready to provide your students with a high-dosage tutoring program aligned with state content standards.

Research
To address learning loss and ongoing student achievement gaps in Louisiana, high-dosage tutoring has the strongest evidence base of any potential large-scale in-school intervention.
The average effect of tutoring programs on academic achievement is larger than roughly 85 percent of other education interventions and equivalent to moving a student at the 35th percentile of the achievement distribution to the 50th percentile.
